Business & Economics Teacher - Morpeth
Are you a passionate and dedicated Business & Economics Teacher looking for a new opportunity? If so, we would love to hear from you! We are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school in Morpeth seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Business & Economics Teacher to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students, deliver engaging lessons, and help young people achieve their academic potential across KS4 and KS5.

About the Role:

• Teaching Business Studies and Economics across KS4 and KS5.
• Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum and examination specifications.
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
• Assessing, monitoring and recording students' progress and attainment.
• Differentiating lessons to support students of varying abilities and learning needs.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.

Pay, Hours and Contract:

• Pay: £160 - £220 per day (depending on experience and responsibilities)
• Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
• Contract: Full-time, temporary position with the potential to become permanent
• Start Date: Immediate start available / September 2026
• Location: Morpeth

Experience, Qualifications and Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• A recognised PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• A degree in Business, Economics or a related subject.
• Previous experience teaching Business Studies and/or Economics within a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of current curriculum requirements.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate, inspire and engage students of varying abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to process a new application.
• Professional teaching references covering the last two years.
