Job Description:

Our client in Gateshead is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with strong programming experience, preferably a turner, to join their well-established precision engineering team.

About the Role:

Our client requires an experienced CNC Turner who can program, set up, and operate CNC turning machines to produce high-quality precision components. You will work from engineering drawings and ensure parts meet strict tolerances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Programming and operating CNC lathes (Fanuc, Siemens, Mazak, or similar)
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Setting tools and making necessary adjustments during machining
• Carrying out quality checks on finished components
• Maintaining machinery and adhering to safety standards

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner with programming skills
• Strong knowledge of machining processes and technical drawings
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently both independently and within a team
• Commitment to quality and continuous improvement
