Key Responsibilities

As an Early Years Practitioner, you may be responsible for:

• Supporting the care, learning, and development of children aged 0–5.
• Supporting engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework.
• Creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
• Supporting children's communication, language, physical, social, and emotional development.
• Encouraging children's independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
• Working collaboratively with nursery practitioners and wider staff teams.
• Building positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues.
• Supporting daily routines and personal care where required.
• Ensuring safeguarding, health, and safety procedures are followed at all times.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• A minimum Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification – essential.
• Experience working with children aged 0–5.
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• A caring, patient, and nurturing approach.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a nursery team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A professional, reliable, and flexible approach.
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
