Protocol Education is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant for a specialist secondary setting in Gateshead, starting this September.

Role Information

• Full-time
• September 2026 start
• Monday-Friday
• 8:30am-4:30pm
• Term-time only
• Long-term opportunity with potential to go permanent

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting students across KS3 and KS4
• Helping students access their lessons
• Providing individual and small group support
• Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
• Building strong professional relationships
• Encouraging students to engage with education
• Supporting literacy and reading development
• Helping students improve their written work
• Providing positive encouragement and role modelling
• Supporting students during breakfast and lunchtime
• Working closely with teaching and pastoral colleagues

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
