Occupational Health Advisor Location: Durham
Salary: £43,377 – £44,783 per annum, pro rata
Market Rate Supplement: £6,000 per annum, pro rata, subject to biennial review
Hours: 18.5 hours per week – timetable to be discussed at interview
Contract: Permanent
Start Date: ASAP, subject to notice period

About the Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join a college-based team in Durham on a permanent, part-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Occupational Health Nurse to take responsibility for the delivery of Occupational Health services within an educational setting.

As this is a standalone Occupational Health position, the successful candidate will need to be confident working autonomously, using their professional knowledge and experience to provide an effective Occupational Health service from day one.

The Ideal Candidate We are looking for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse/Advisor who has previously worked within an Occupational Health setting.
You will need to hold:

• A recognised Occupational Health Nursing qualification – this is an Occupational Health Nursing role and not an Occupational Health & Safety position.
• Current Registered Nurse status.
• Previous experience working in an Occupational Health Advisor/Nurse capacity.
• The ability to work independently and manage an Occupational Health function autonomously.
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• The confidence and experience to make professional judgements and provide appropriate advice within an Occupational Health setting.

Candidates with experience outside of the NHS would be particularly welcomed, although NHS Occupational Health experience will also be considered.

Salary & Benefits The position is paid on Management Spine Point MS00-01, equating to:
£43,377 – £44,783 per annum, pro rata

In addition, the role attracts a £6,000 Market Rate Supplement (MRS), pro rata, which is subject to biennial review.
