Job Title: SEND English Teacher

Location: Gateshead
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £180 - £200 per day

Can you deliver engaging and accessible English and ICT lessons across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4?

Are you a patient, resilient and adaptable SEND English Teacher who can support pupils across different areas of the curriculum?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND school based in Gateshead, supporting pupils with a mixture of additional needs. The school provides a supportive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to engage with their education and develop their confidence and independence.

The school is looking to take on a SEND English Teacher on a long-term basis, primarily teaching English alongside some ICT across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4. The successful SEND English Teacher will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons adapted to individual needs, while maintaining a positive and supportive classroom environment.

The successful SEND English Teacher will have:

• QTS with an English specialism (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Experience teaching English across KS3 and KS4
• Confidence delivering ICT lessons at KS3 and KS4
• Experience supporting children and young people with SEND
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A patient, adaptable and resilient approach
