As we continue to expand, we are looking for a Senior Recruitment Consultant who can take ownership of their market, build strong relationships, and play an important role in the continued development of the team. 

This opportunity is based at our modern office at Mandale Business Park, just outside of Durham City Centre. You won't be just another number, you'll be a key part of a small, ambitious team where your contribution genuinely matters. 

The Role

As a Senior Recruitment Consultant, you will take complete ownership of your desk, managing the full 360° recruitment cycle for white-collar permanent roles within the construction industry. You will work with an established client base while actively developing new relationships and contributing to strategic business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment activity across a defined market, delivering high quality placements
• Strengthen relationships with key clients and identify new business opportunities
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior consultants
• Contribute to strategic planning and business developments initiatives
• Maintain a consultative approach with clients and candidates, adding value throughout
• Represent Elvet Recruitment professionally at networking events and industry forums

You might come from sales, account management, business development, or customer-facing roles, or any environment where you’ve had to negotiate, influence or win someone over. If you’re commercially sharp, proactive and confident engaging with people at all levels, we can teach you the recruitment piece.

Earning Potential:

• Uncapped commission with no thresholds
• OTE £60,000 £75,000+
• Annual Golden Envelope Bonus (£2,500 £10,000)
