Job Description:

Freelance Site Engineer required for a regional civil engineering contractor delivering multiple Roads & Sewers schemes across the North of the region. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy contractor with a strong pipeline of work, offering a long-term contract and varied project exposure.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for engineering duties across several Roads & Sewers schemes, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately, and in line with programme requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Setting out roads, sewers, drainage, and associated infrastructure.
• Carrying out surveys and maintaining accurate site records.
• Managing quality assurance and completing as-built records.
• Coordinating with site management, subcontractors, and the client.
• Ensuring works comply with design drawings and specifications.
• Supporting the delivery of projects to programme and budget.

Experience Required

• Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on Roads & Sewers projects.
• Competent in setting out using robotic total stations and GPS equipment.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering drawings and specifications.
• CSCS card essential.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently across multiple live sites.

Remuneration

• £300 – 350.00 per day
